Print Size

• The print size listed is the size of the paper your artwork will be printed on - the image itself will vary in size within the paper, dependant on the shape of the image.

• If ordering without a frame then the image of the artwork will be placed within your chosen size paper with a white border to allow for framing.

Framing

• If you order a frame, the print will arrive ready to hang in a Tulip Wood frame, with glass (as seen in product pictures).

• Frames are made to order by a UK based independent framer. Each sale directly supports this craft.

• If you would like a bespoke frame (a different colour etc) then please get in touch to discuss and we’ll be happy to help arrange and discuss costing.

Shipping

• Prints are produced upon order - estimated dispatch is 5-7 working days after order is placed.

• Prints are posted 1st Class Royal Mail next day delivery.

• If ordering a frame please allow an additional three weeks for delivery (though it may be sooner) as the frames are made by an independent, professional framer upon order.

About the Artist

Rosemary was born in Trowbridge, Wiltshire in 1954. Her Grandmother, May Dennis encouraged her to draw from an early age and introduced her to the Arts in general; taking her to the theatre and museums regularly. Rosie has many happy memories of drawing with her grandmother in the Pump Rooms in Bath every Saturday morning after ballet lessons. Another great influence to Rosie was her art teacher, Samuel Palmer (great grandson of the visionary pastoral painter Samuel Palmer), who gave Rosie great encouragement during her teenage years; allowing her to paint in the school lunch hour and study the art history books.

Her personal tutor, Alexander  Mackenzie , abstract artist and member of the St Ives School, was a major influence on her Foundation at Plymouth Art School  (1972/73 ).  Alexander instilled in Rosie a life long discipline and love of drawing .
In 1975,  while in Cheltenham on the fine art degree course , Rosie first met and became acquainted with Craigie Aitchison through mutual friends, and was introduced to his work. Craigie’s example, support and encouragement over the years until his death in 2009, have had a major influence on Rosie’s work. As well as developing her own work, Rosie was a portrait model for many artists in the 1970s  & 1980s , including Peter Kuhfeld ; two portraits of which were hung in the National Portrait gallery .

Rosie’s First solo show was in Cheltenham in 1975 , after which  she continued to exhibit and teach in London for many years. Rosie returned to Cornwall in 1995 , and has since exhibited in London, Cornwall and Canada and has work in collections across the globe,  including Florida, Paris , Sydney , New York and Japan.
